PSA: These pictures represent “dog years” quite well. They are only 2 years and 2 months apart. In dog years, though, that’s almost 16 years! 16 years of having me come take care of them, play with them, and love them when their family is away. The bond that pets form with their pet sitter is a strong one. Afterall… if someone is in your life for 16 years, you get attached. Don’t pet sit for fun. Don’t pet sit for the money or as a side gig. Pet sit because you are committed to enriching the lives of the pets you care for and bringing a sense of peace and comfort to the owners. Almost embarrassing pet sitter moment… that happens all the time! Walk in client’s home. In my most playful, silly voice holler “Josey Wales! Come gimme a big ole smoochie face!” Proceed up the stairs to happily accept said smoochie face. Look over and dog dad is in the living room, smiling at the happy butt wag Josey is doing at the top of the stairs. It doesn’t even phase me anymore. It used to make me feel silly…. But now I realize that the owners have a clear view of the love I have for their pets. MHK Pets get all the love. ❤️
